Living Dance 2012Living Dance 2012 had us return to Gharb, Gozo for the third time. Settling into familiar ground each Living Dance improved on the facilities provided to offer an even better experience for our students.
Dance disciplines included Ballet, Repertoire, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. The special course had the students preparing bath bombs. |
Simona ZampinaSimona, an Italian dancer, teacher and choreographer joined our team giving workshops in Modern and Hip Hop. Simona has performed extensively in Italy and overseas, performing with Kylie Minogue, for films, musicals, operas, commercials, flash mobs and more, as well as choreographing for the same. She has also won a number of Choreogrphic awards and competitions and been commended for her artistic excellence. She has given many workshops to students and dancers at various international festivals and courses.

Gelsomina Di Lorenzo
Gelsomina Di Lorenzo is an Italian dancer from Naples. She received her Diploma in classical ballet, contemporary dance and repertoire from the Real Theatre of San Carlo in Naples under the direction of Mrs. Anna Razzi, where she also received the scholarship dedicated to Mrs. Carmi Lo Forte and Bianca Gallizia. During her time at the Real Theatre of San Carlo, Gelsomina was also a soloist in a number of ballets. After finishing her Diploma, Gelsomina took part in more than thirty ballet shows in Italy, Belgium, Holland, Russia, Switzerland and Malta. During this time Gelsomina worked with different dance companies such as the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, rel Teatro di San Carlo, RBR Dance Company, Royal Ballet of Flanders, European Thersicore Company and Moveo Dance Company amongst others. Gelsomina has also won first place in the 5th National Dance Competition in Le Corsaire, senior soloist section, classical category and guest soloist for “Homage to Nureyev”.
Gelsomina has also worked on the Italian TV as a ballet dancer and is presently a soloist and assistant choreographer to RbR Dance Company in Verona |
