Living Dance 2011
Wendy Green
(LRAD, ARAD)
Wendy Green gained her Advanced Certificate and Licentiates’ Diploma from the Teachers Training Course of the Royal Academy of Dance. After graduating, freelance teaching in London gave her a wealth of experience, while she continued to study both ballet and national dance with eminent teachers. After moving to Canada she ran her own school very successfully for some years and then went on to teach in other ballet schools and was instrumental in developing a dance program at a high school for the arts.
Re-locating to Vancouver in 1990, she joined the faculty of the Goh Ballet, teaching all levels from Pre-Primary to Solo Seal and choreographing numerous ballets for children. In 1993 she became a Grades Examiner for the Royal Academy of Dance and spent the next nine years travelling all over the world examining and guest teaching in addition to a busy teaching and coaching schedule at Richmond Academy of Dance near Vancouver. Wendy did her Vocational Examiner training in 2004 and is now a Dual Examiner and Tutor for the Royal Academy of Dance. She still manages to find time to do some guest teaching, choreography and adjudicating at festivals, and when at home she enjoys relaxing with her patchwork and quilting projects or working in the garden. |
